Communication is spreading via WWW

Honestly at first I thought that the blog assignment was annoying and just another “homework assignment”. However it became to be a place where we all began to know each others personality and who we “really are” instead of reading people, like judging a book by its cover. The blog assignments were interesting, but the class assignments were more interesting and where we began to network. The blog was an effective way for us to get to know each other and start networking with the right people.

The blogs also allowed for us to comment on those we wish we could’ve commented on, but on the other hand, if we didn’t know the person, we all started by commenting on their blogs. Hence allowing us to start a way to get to know each other and see their thoughts. The blogs also allowed us to further extrapolate on our thoughts on the class activities.

This blog idea was a very creative idea that allowed us to easily get a full 20 points of the final grade by simply posting blogs and replying back to others.

Ultimately the blog assignments and replies allowed me to understand the concept of individual personalities and thoughts, through their comments and postings.

Does Personality Really Reflect Who You Are...?

The Personal Profile System was very accurate and it was a good interpretation of my leardership skills. The test told me that I was C (conscientiousness) because I ensure quality and accuracy. When I am asked to complete a task, I double/triple check my work to make sure that everything is correct and the quality of my work shows that I put all my effort into it. I am also very diplomatic because I try to hear everyone out. Ultimately the test was a good description of who I am and what I reflect.

I believe I can also be I (influence), and D (dominance) because I have these traits as well, but it's all depending on the situations. I think this will be helpful determining peoples management skills because it was a very good description of who I am. This also determines if the person is sociable or shy.

Think BIG

I have many visions and goals that I want to accomplish in life...

One goal that I have been thinking about for the past 2 years is creating a this social website. And it is nothing like Facebook or Myspace or LinkedIn, its something a bit more creative and something I dont want to express to others yet. I had the initiative and spoke to a patent lawyer, but it was too expensive, it was like buying a studio down at Wall St. So now I'm trying to gather a presentation to present to possible investors to execute my website idea and get things started. However considering that every market is in a financial crisis, I may have to set things back a few steps and wait till the economy gets a little better.

Another goal I had in mind was to get another Bachelors in either Architecture or Interior Design. Since the day I was in Junior High, I always wanted to become an Architect, but unfortunately I didnt get into the school I wanted to go to initally. After graduation I am going to apply for the Universities that I had in mind and then graduate with a high GPA. I would then like to have my own business thats becomes world wide.

My final accomplishment in life would be living the American Dream!

The Four

In the beginning there was too much ruckus at the time because there were too many people intially trying to think of a decision that would help ones own grade. Each person had their own decisions and others opinions or suggestions had no meaning to them. There were a few that didnt care because they had already done well on the exam, so they all just agreed upon any decision that were made. However for those who done "not so well" were the ones trying to figure a way to NOT DROP the class and recieve a good grade.

After a few moments had passed, I took a step into the "House of Representatives" to see what ideas they were coming up with in the middle of the room. Personally when I took that Next Step in to the "meeting" in the middle, I was trying to handle the conflict with accommodation because I saw the issue that was occurring and more importantly I saw what the majority wanted. The top three ideas were as follows: 1) Curve the exam 2) Drop the lowest grade 3) The format of the exam. I used this method because it seemed to be the most effective way, until there were many or few disagreements. Hence we had to use the avoidance and collaborating method to gain control.

HOLD UP! How did I become the general speaker for the class? I heard that there were many bad things said in class about me in class! All I tired to do was gain a whole understanding of what everyone wanted and people were getting frustrated because they couldnt get their way or I mistakenly said some things wrong.

Anyways ultimately I believe that using all methods of "how people handle conflict" would give the best affect and work the best!

Eggs-travagant Success

The EGG was a success!

Our initial step to sucess was drawing out the blueprint of securing the egg. Everyone took part in the planning and in the end we had to choose from two ideas, so we all had to vote for marjority.

We had a brilliant idea of making this so called "dome" to protect the egg from breaking. All we had to do was drop the egg from twelve feet in the air, so we came up with the idea of making some sort of a fishing rod and the egg as "bait".

We all were assigned a part of the making this "dome". We had one person get the materials for our group when the time was due for the planning. One person was in charge of the tape, another person was in charge of the straws, and most important of all another person was in charge of the egg. And the rest created the "fishing rod".

Recruiting

A problem I have been facing at work is managing where I put a candidates resume and sourcing for the right candidate for a job. I have been trying to keep track of all the resumes and calls in my outlook folders, but there at too many subfolers that I cant keep track of all at once.

When I post a job on Dice.com, I recieve loads of resumes from many candidates that are actively searching in the job market and as soon as I recieve them, the candidates will usually give me a call and when they do, I can't find or locate where I have put their resumes.

Ahh and sourcing on a job for the right candidate is not an easy job. I cannot manage to find the perfect candidate that these financial industries are looking for. And when I do come across a awesome candidate on Monster, LinkedIn, or Dice, they are either looking for too much in salary, their not actively looking, or has been already submitted in our vendors portals by other recruiters/themselves.

Another main issue I have been facing at work is managing my time, knowing when and how to use it. I tend to be all over the place, mix and match all my duties all at once. I somehow have to manage my daily operation in a time efficent mannor.

Any suggestions or comments?
